
A Bit about me…
Hey, I'm Austin. I’m a meditation coach, but honestly, this isn’t where I thought I’d end up. I spent most of my life working with heavy machinery and growing up in the trucking industry. I wasn’t exactly planning on becoming a meditation coach, but here I am—and meditation has completely turned my life around.
For a long time, I struggled with the usual anxieties, always feeling stuck in “fight or flight,” constantly running on adrenaline. It felt like I was always on edge. I’m just an average guy though, I love a good steak and a beer—but I also love meditation. And in this space, I’ve met some incredible people.
I got into meditation by accident, to be honest. But once I found out how powerful it was, I realized there weren’t many people with my background doing this kind of work. That’s why I felt called to teach it and start Down to Earth Meditation.
I felt it was important to create a space where regular people—people like me could come and learn to slow down, get out of that constant stress mode, and return to a state of calm. Meditation is like a superpower. It can really change your life, but it has to be practical and relatable for everyday people. We live in a world that’s constantly on the go, and it’s up to us to take responsibility for getting ourselves back to a place of relaxation and peace.
Our bodies aren’t built for the craziness of modern life. We spend way too much time in that stressed-out, fight-or-flight state. But it doesn’t have to be like that. Things aren’t going to slow down anytime soon, but we can learn to manage ourselves in this chaotic world. We can learn how to empty our cup and recharge.
